No accounts, no personal details
Dwelple doesn't ask for your name, email or any login. There's nothing to sign up for.
What's stored on your device
Your results, streak, fish logbook and sound setting are saved in your browser's local storage so the game remembers them next time. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data for dwelple.com wipes it.
Anonymous play data
When you finish a cast, the game sends us a short record of it: the day and category, the answers you gave, your score, whether the line snapped and on which word, and any words the game didn't recognise. Each browser gets a random ID so we can tell how many different people played. It isn't linked to your name, email, IP address or anything else about you, and we don't store IP addresses. We use this only to improve the game: adding answers that are missing, fixing rarity tiers and showing how your score compares with other players.
Visit counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits (for example, how many people played today and which country they're in). It doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites.
Fonts
The game's fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads, as with any website that uses them.
Answers you flag
If you tap "Flag it" on an answer you think should have counted, the word and category are sent to us (with the same random ID) so we can review it.
Changes
If anything here changes (for example, if leaderboards or ads are added), this page will be updated first.
